Our Story
“DLF is a Non-profit organization aimed at assisting children in Africa achieve their educational goals. DLF was formed so that the potential of the younger generation is maximized. it was formed to transform the lives of many so that they also would change the lives of many to come.
Mission: To inspire and transform every child to be a brave light in the society, to live audaciously and maximize their full potential.
Our Board Members
Emilia Orelu – Founder and President
Emilia Orelu, born and raised in Lagos Nigeria. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and MBA from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD USA. She currently resides in the U.S. and works as an External Financial Auditor with Calibre CPA Group PLLC.
Emilia is very passionate about education and the right to education for young children all over the world. If she could change one thing about education in Africa, it will be to have free education for all nursery and primary school children.

Hilda Lasisi, CPA
Hilda Lasisi holds a Bsc in Accounting from University of Central Arkansas and a Masters in Accounting and Business Advisory Services from the University of Baltimore. She is a Certified Public Accountant and works as a Management Analyst at the World Bank Group, Washington DC. She is the Owner/CEO of Calidad Destination. She has over 5 years of experience planning social and corporate events. She enjoys travelling as it gives her the opportunity to meet people, experience different cultures, enjoy local delicacies and be adventurous. She enjoys helping individuals, couples, families, and groups plan beautiful destination celebrations/trips and create lasting memories.

MaryAnn Temitope Osoba, Secretary
Tope was born in Kaduna and raised in both kaduna and Lagos, Nigeria. She received her degree in computer science from Lagos State Polytechnic, Nigeria. She is currently an entrepreneur and owns a shop in Lagos where she sells hair products. She currently resides in Lagos with her husband and her two kids.

Chinonso Clare Ofodile
Clare is an economic development professional who was raised and currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria. Clare obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degree in International Economic Development Management. She has worked on economic and social development agendas and teams globally, including various initiatives of the United Nations.
“I am passionate about advancing Africa’s and Nigeria’s development and a proponent of grassroots and holistic initiatives. I am indeed privileged and excited to serve on the board of an organization that puts these at the core of their operation, particularly one that contributes to the education development agenda in Nigeria. DLF is that organization!”
Morenike Adebiyi
Morenike holds a Bsc in Biology from Morgan State University and is currently completing her medical course to become a Medical Doctor. She is very enthusiastic about education and self-empowerment. She hopes to leave her mark in society by assisting and encouraging the children to be the best they can.
